Mr. Hardee founded Hardee Construction Company in 1975. With good work ethics and determination Mr. Hardee succeeded in developing a full service construction company, one he saw the need for in the 70's. Local companies lacked the personal attention to detail, timely construction and quality that he knew would have to be the backbone of his own company.
With a focus on quality affordable residential building, Hardee Construction Company reached an all time record in 1987 by building and selling 80 residential homes in 1 year. This equipped Hardee Construction Company with the revenue it needed to expand out into the Commercial Building Market. Here the focus was on Pre-Engineered Metal Structures that could be designed and built to have a "warm feeling" mixing other building materials such as stucco and brick to a seemingly cold structure of steel. Hardee Construction Company is credited with being one of the first companies to introduce this new design concept in our area.
Presently Mr. Hardee is a hands-on person working diligently on many projects to ensure quality work. Mr. Hardee is also in charge of our land development department of sales and purchasing.
Mr. Hardee is a native of Sumter, SC and has strong ties in the Sumter area. He currently resides in Sumter. He has two grown sons, Dwayne and Jason and six grandchildren. Mr. Hardee has always been a helpful and kind hearted person willing to go out his way to help people and clients.

Dwayne Hardee is currently the Vice President of Hardee Construction Company and has been with the company since graduating from Sumter Christian Academy in 1984. During this time he has worked as a Project Manger and Cost Estimator receiving his Unlimited General Contractors license in 1989.
Since 1986 Mr. Hardee has completed over 380 projects in Large Commercial, Industrial, Religious Facilities, Professional Offices, Business Offices, Food Services, Retail, Franchise Businesses, and Security Upgrades at Power Plants. Mr. Hardee uses this wealth of construction knowledge to enable him to construct cost efficiently and on time.
In 1989 Mr. Dwayne Hardee partnered with Mr. Jerry Hardee to create Island Investments. This company's purpose was to have available buildings and spaces that could be leased to individuals or leased with an option to buy. This enables small businesses with low working capital to invest their money in their company without the expense of a new building mortgage hindering their capital gain in the early years of business. Island Investments now manages 70 units with fixed leases or options to buy.
Mr. Hardee is a native of Sumter and has strong ties in the Sumter area. He currently resides in Sumter with his wife the former Janet Christmas. He is the father of three children Justin, Clayton, and Daulton. Mr. Hardee is a member of the Bethesda Church of God. He is actively involved in his community.

Mr. Jason Hardee brings over 15 years of construction and construction related experience to Hardee Construction Company, Inc.
After graduating from Wilson Hall Academy in 1988, he attended the University of South Carolina were he studied Business and Auto-Cad design. After college he worked for Hardee Construction Company learning "hands-on" the aspects of design, drafting, construction and running a business. In 1993 he opened his own landscaping company where he designed and built architectural landscapes. In 1997 he obtained his real estate license and began working through Coldwell Banker Commercial Seaboard Properties of Sumter. There he learned the fundamentals of commercial real estate including sales, leasing, plan and development. Currently at Hardee Construction Company, with a vast knowledge of Design and Development of Construction, he overseas the design and engineering, project management, and cost estimating of on-going commercial projects.
Mr. Hardee is a native of Sumter and has strong ties in the Sumter area. He currently resides in Sumter with his wife, the former Amanda Drose. He is the father of three children, Jay, Mary Beth, and William. Mr. Hardee is a member at Bethesda Church of God. He is actively involved in his community.

After graduating from Edmunds High School Mrs. Baker attended Sumter Area Technical College were she graduated with an Associates Degree in Business and Accounting. Working for a local construction company she obtained 19 years of experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, and Human Resources.
Mrs. Baker joined Hardee Construction Company in 2002 and is the Administration Manager overseeing all revenue transactions.
Mrs. Baker is a native of Sumter. She currently resides in Sumter with her husband Troy Baker. She has three grown children Robin, Cindy, BJ and one grandchild. Mrs. Baker is a member of the Paxville Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, was the Discipleship Director, and is on several committees. She is actively involved in the community.
